Haston Coates camps in Tuscaloosa
"The Alabama camp was a great experience," said Haston Coates. "I feel like I was one of the best linemen there. There was a lot of competition. I enjoyed it.
"I feel like I learned a lot out there. It was good to work with the offensive line coach [Jeff Stoutland]. That was a lot of fun. It was also pretty cool to see Terrence Cody out there. He stopped by to watch the camp.
"I talked to Jeremy Pruitt after the camp. He was saying they want to see me back at the camp in July. They want to get some one-on-one time with me. We'll go from there and see what happens."
The 6-foot-2.5, 310-pound prospect lives 45 minutes from the Alabama campus.
"It feels like home down there," said Coates. "It's like a home away from home. I like all their facilities."
Coates is eager for his first scholarship offer and hopes to camp at Florida State and Tennessee later this summer.
