Bone's Best: Chris Humes

Andrew Bone takes a closer look at the Top 60 players in the state of Alabama prior to the 2011 season.

23. Chris Humes three-star
No. 30 cornerback
Spain Park (Hoover)
6-0, 200-pounds

Recruitment: Humes has scholarship offers from Auburn, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Mississippi State, South Alabama, Southern Miss and UAB. Alabama has shown a lot of interest and asked him to camp in Tuscaloosa this month.

Humes says of two schools garnering his attention, "Alabama is wanting to build a relationship with me. They want to get me down to T-town as much as I can. It's only a 45 minute drive for me.

"Alabama has a lot of tradition. I am from the state of Alabama. I like what they are doing down there. They keep reloading every year. I would love to be a part of a program that wins. I feel like I can become a great DB under coach Saban and coach Pruitt.

"Mississippi State has a great coaching staff. I really like the schemes they use on defense. Their coaching staff has a lot of experience. They have nice facilities and a beautiful campus."
