Robert Nkemdiche high on Alabama

Robert Nkemdiche, defensive lineman from Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga., is participating this week in the National Select 7-on-7 tournament in Hoover. Nkemdiche talked with Andrew Bone after the first day of the event.

"I felt like we did good today," said Robert Nkemdiche. "We were just down 18-0 in a game. We fought back and won.

"I am really proud of us. I am proud of the team, and I am proud of my performance. I think 7-on-7 is fun. I like competing and having fun with it."

The 2013 prospect is projected as the No. 1 recruit in the country. He is a big athlete who could play many positions.

"I like playing linebacker and on defensive line at end," Nkemdiche said. "Both are real fun to me. It doesn't matter where I play in college. I will play wherever."
Nkemdiche has earned scholarship offers from almost every major school in the country. The Tide recently landed one of the best prospects in the Peach State in Reuben Foster who is also in the class of 2013.

"Alabama is high up there," Nkemdiche said. "I can't really say I really have a favorite right now though. I like Alabama. I like the coaches. They are fun to work with. I like the coaches a lot. It's fun up there."

Nkemdiche is enjoying the recruiting process for now. An early decision is not in the cards at this point.

"The attention doesn't really bother me at all," he said. "I like it a lot right now. I will probably make a late decision. I plan on going to a bunch of games this fall. I don't know where all I will visit yet."
