Torren McGaster talks SEC camp

Hoover, Ala.-Torren McGaster, cornerback from Daphne, Ala., played a big role on the defense this weekend helping his team win the National Select 7-on-7 Tournament. McGaster has double-digit scholarship offers with a few favorites. He recently camped in Tuscaloosa.

"I went to the Alabama camp this past week," said Torren McGaster. "Everything went really good. I talked to coach Saban. He taught me some new things. I was able to bring that out here on the field with me.

"Alabama said they like me. They said they are going to call me pretty soon. Hopefully I will get an offer. I like their coaches and program. I like everything about Alabama."

McGaster has reeled in 12 scholarship offers from across the country.

"I really like Missouri, Minnesota and Illinois," he said. "Those are schools I would really like to visit. I plan on getting up to those schools this fall."

McGaster is not planning an early decision.

"I think it will be close to the end or after the season before I do anything," he explained. "I am going to look for a nice program. I want to be in a good weight program. I want to have good facilities and coaches."
