Amari Cooper talks SEC camp and offer

Amari Cooper, four-star wide receiver from Miami-Northwestern, Fla., is one of the top playmakers in the Sunshine State. He visited Alabama and earned an offer from the SEC powerhouse.

"I went to Alabama's camp for two days," said Amari Cooper. "I only camped for one day. The camp went really good.

"I liked how everything was up-tempo. I liked the indoor facility. I liked how the coaches were pushing everyone out there. It was all really good.

"I had never visited Alabama before. It was the best college campus I have seen. I have been to Florida State and Miami. I like the dorms, the stadium, weight room and training room."

Cooper received good news from Alabama while visiting the Capstone.

"Alabama offered me at the camp," Cooper said. "It's definitely one of my better offers. I really like the school. They are pretty high on my list.

"They play football based on match-ups. If they have a mismatch they are going to take advantage of it. I really like that.

"I talked to coach Saban. He was telling me how much I could do for them and they could do for me. He told me about the program and how they bring in people to teach you how to be a better man.

"Coach Saban talked about a lot of different things. He talked about how many of their games are on TV. He discussed playing in the SEC. He also talked about how good the academics are at Alabama."

The elite prospect is taking his time and will not rush a decision.

"I haven't narrowed it down yet," Cooper said. "I have about 10 offers right now. The schools recruiting me the hardest are Florida State and Alabama, but really all the schools are recruiting me pretty hard."
