Cameron Toney talks SEC favorite
"I am getting a few letters right now," said Cameron Toney. "Clemson is sending me mail. They are trying to get me up there for an unofficial visit. They want me to come see the campus.
"I spoke to coach Sal [Sunseri, Alabama] a couple days ago. He was asking me if I was eating good. Alabama has been talking to me a lot."
The Tide has a monumental lead for Toney's signature if they decide to offer a scholarship.
"If they offer me I will commit," he said. "I can see myself doing that right away. That is what I am waiting on. Coach Saban told me to keep working hard and that I should get an offer.
"I just like the intensity they have down there. They love football. It's all about college football in this state. Every coach I have met there knows what they are talking about."
Toney plans to attend several Tide games this year. He will attend the first home game against Kent State and will return for games such as Arkansas, Tennessee and LSU.
Toney stays in contact with one Tide commitment in the class of 2012.
"I have been talking to Reggie [Ragland]," he said. "We are hoping to play together in college. It would be nice to play at Alabama with him. If not then we look forward to playing against each other."
