Bama Basketball Makes Super Tuesday Cut

Alabama's men's basketball team will appear once in the eight Super Tuesday telecasts by ESPN in 2012. Perhaps reflecting how much better the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division was compared to the West last year, of the 16 teams showcased, East teams will be on 12 times, West teams four times.

The Alabama team of Coach Anthony Grant, winner of the SEC West last year, will make a Valentine's Day appearance, hosting Florida on February 14. Tipoff at Coleman Coliseum will be at 6 p.m. CST.

Super Tuesday spotlights the nation's top teams in a doubleheader with the Big Ten Conference every Tuesday during conference play from January 10 to February 28. Weekly SEC games will tip off at 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. CST on ESPN. UA is one of seven SEC teams that will appear on the Super Tuesday lineup.

Arkansas will appear twice and Mississippi State gets the other appearance by an SEC West team.

Florida and Kentucky will be on four times each, Georgia and Vanderbilt twice each.
