Cameron Toney talks SEC offer

Cameron Toney, linebacker from Huntsville, Ala., projects as one of the top in-state recruits in the class of 2013. He helped lead his team to a big win this past Friday night against Decatur, 24-10. Toney talked about his performance, and the big news when he returned home Thursday night.

"It feels great," said Cameron Toney. "It was our first win in I don't know how many years against them. We had to stop their running game. They had the best running game in the state. Our defense worked real hard in practice.

"Our offense did great. That's the best they have played. Our defense slacked off one or two possessions. We got it back in the fourth. I could have done more. I need to improve my hands."

Toney traveled to Tuscaloosa Saturday for the Tide's home opener against Kent State.

"I have been getting a ton of mail lately mainly from SEC and ACC schools," Toney said. "I plan on going to a bunch of games this year."

Toney had a letter from the University of Alabama when he returned home Friday night.

"Alabama offered me," he said. "It felt great. That's what I always wanted. I am not going to make my decision yet."
