Nate Andrews names favorite

Nate Andrews, wide receiver from Fairhope, Ala., is having a great season. He projects as one of the top in-state offensive players in the class of 2013. Andrews is receiving early interest from schools in the SEC. He visited Tuscaloosa last weekend for the Tide's home opener.

"I don't have any offers yet," said Nate Andrews. "Alabama, Mississippi State, LSU and Georgia have been sending a lot of stuff. I went to the Alabama game last weekend. I am going to the Mississippi State/LSU game next week."

Andrews talked about his unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa.

"The vist to Alabama was fun," he said. "I liked it a lot. It was my first time going to a college football game. It was really nice up there.

"I talked to coach Pruitt and coach Saban. Coach Pruitt said they are looking forward to getting me an offer. He wanted me to meet Nick Saban."

The junior is not shy about his early favorite.

"Alabama is my favorite school," Andrews said. "I really like Alabama a lot. I want to go there. I like their program. They pass the ball a lot. I would really love to go there."

The 6-foot, 185-pound prospect has eclipsed 200 yards in his first two games of the season. He recorded six catches for 122 with two touchdowns in his first game and five catches for 84 yards last week.

"I'd say the deep ball is my biggest strength," Andrews said. "I want to improve getting off the line in man-to-man. I feel like I am physical receiver."

Fairhope travels to Satsuma Friday night.
