Alabama vs Florida Time Up In Air

It will be another week before Alabama and Florida coaches, players, and fans know when that critical Southeastern Conference game will kick off. And four other schools are equally in the dark. That's because CBS has elected to delay its decision on its television plans for October 1.

In exchange for its massive payment to the Southeastern Conference, CBS controls the schedule, including having the occasional option to postpone its decision on coverage.

CBS has decided to exercise that decision for games of October 1, including the Alabama at Florida contest.

Alabama's game against the Gators in Gainesville that day will be televised either by CBS or ESPN. CBS will televise one game at 2:30 p.m. CDT and one game at 7 p.m. CDT. The game not picked up by CBS will air at 11 a.m. CDT and be televised by ESPN.

Also in that mix are the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas game from Arlington, Texas, and the Auburn game at South Carolina.
