Bo Scarborough talks SEC offer

Bo Scarborough, athlete from Tuscaloosa-Northridge, Ala., projects as the top player in his home-state in the class of 2014. Andrew Bone talked with the athlete about the new scholarship offer and more...

"Alabama has offered me," said Bo Scarborough. "They offered me after the North Texas game. I have time to think about my decision. Hopefully I can make it before my senior year. An offer from Alabama is real big. I am happy I have the offer. They are my leader.

"I like coach Cochran a lot. He is good at preparing the players in the off-season. He gets them big and ready. They run a lot. That's why they have so much energy on the field at the end of games. I like how they treat their players. They show them respect."

Scarborough returned to Bryant-Denny Stadium this past weekend for the Tide's 38-14 win against Arkansas.

"The visit was real nice," he said. "I liked it like it a lot. I liked Dre Kirkpatrick. He hypes me up. He makes me want to get on the field. He makes me want to play for them.

"I was impressed with the defense. Dre was in on every tackle. He was all over the filed. I liked how he plays. I liked how they would put Trent [Richardson] and Eddie Lacy in. The defense has to watch both of those guys."

Scarborough hopes to visit Arkansas, Auburn and Mississippi State this fall. He has helped his team to a 5-0 record and has 473 yards rushing and seven touchdowns.
