Cameron Toney talks SEC visit

Cameron Toney, linebacker from Huntsville, Ala., has high interest in the Alabama football program. He will keep an open mind during his recruitment and talked about his visit this past weekend.

"The visit was pretty good," Cameron Toney said of the Arkansas game in Tuscaloosa. "I liked the intensity on both sides of the ball. I liked the crowd. The crowd was crazy.

"The defense was crazy. That was the first time I have seen Dre [Kirkpatrick] step up like that as a hitter. When he was a freshman he was small, but now he is really hitting. He hits like a linebacker.

"I spoke to coach Sal [Sunseri] and coach Smart while I was there. Every time I go they tell me I look like I am bigger. They want me to send them some updated film."
Toney hung out with several recruits on campus including Alabama commitments Reggie Ragland and O.J. Howard. He also spent time with 2013 running back Josh Matthews.

Toney plans to attend other games this season including Tennessee/Georgia, Auburn/Florida, Alabama/Tennessee and Alabama/LSU. New schools showing interest include Duke, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Oregon and Tennessee.

Huntsville hosts Bob Jones Friday night at Milton Frank Stadium.
