Tyler Hayes talks Alabama winning
"They came out and played hard," Tyler Hayes said of the Crimson Tide's 38-10 victory at the Swamp. "I was worried at first, but after that first play they stuck it to them.
"The defense was impressive. I really liked it. They are the No. 1 defense in the country. They live up to their name. That's how they play."
Hayes has been to Tuscaloosa several times this season and becoming accumstomed to the atmosphere at Bryant-Denny Stadium. He's also bonding with future teammates.
"The visits to Alabama have been good," he said. "I have a nice time every time I go there. It's nice knowing I'll be there next year. I know I'll see recruits on the sidelines and know that was me last year.
"I have met Darius Philon and Chris Black. I have been keeping in contact with Ryan Anderson. The coaches just ask me how my season is going and stuff like that."
The top 10 outside linebacker believes the University of Alabama can make another championship run.
"Each week they play better than they did the week before," said Hayes. "I feel like this can be like the '09 season, and they can win the national championship.
Hayes was asked about this weekend's Homecoming game against Vanderbilt.
"I think they will play Bama football and come out on top," he said.
Thomasville continues to steamroll opponents with a 38-15 win last week against Escambia County. Hayes had two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown. He had 48 tackles for the year prior to last week's game.
Thomasville hosts UMS-Wright Friday night.
