Alabama commitments talk BCS ranking

The first BCS rankings were released Sunday evening and the University of Alabama was ranked No. 2 behind LSU. Several of the Tide's top commitments shared their thoughts on the ranking.

Reggie Ragland, five-star linebacker: "It's very good for Bama. I personally feel like they should be No. 1. LSU is a great team though, and they deserve it."

Chris Black, National 100 wide receiver : "I think they definitely deserve it. They seem to get better and better week in and week out especially with one of the best defenses around. I definitely think Trent Richardson is the Heisman winner."

Geno Smith, National 100 cornerback: "I feel that it is a good place to start. I feel that if the team keeps playing hard-nosed they should end up No. 1 at the end of the season."

Bradley Bozeman, 2013 offensive lineman: "To me it doesn't matter what we are ranked now just as long as we are No. 1 in the end and wearing that national championship ring."

Adam Griffith, No. 1 ranked kicker: "I think it's great. I'm glad that my future team is ranked that high, and I know they can be No. 1 soon!"

Ragland, Black (official visitor), Smith, Griffith and Bozeman will visit Tuscaloosa this weekend when the Tide hosts Tennessee.
