Season Summary: Tyler Hayes

Tyler Hayes, four-star outside linebacker from Thomasville, Ala., finished the regular season at 9-1. The Tigers will host the first round of the AHSAA play-offs.

Tyler Hayes, Alabama commitment

Game 1: Thomasville defeated Sweet Water, 28-7; Hayes had six carries for 75 yards and one reception for 11 yards. He had 11 tackles on defense, two tackles for loss and punted twice for 85 yards.

Game 2: Thomasville defeated Monroe County, 49-6; Hayes had two carries for nine yards, 10 tackles, one tackle for loss and one forced fumble.

Game 3: Thomasville defeated B.C. Rain, 34-6; Hayes had seven carries for 42 yards with one touchdown, and one reception for 12 yards. He added six tackles on defense and two tackles for loss.

Game 4: Thomasville defeated Saraland, 57-16; Hayes had three carries for 15 yards with one touchdown, and one reception for 62 yards and a score. He had seven tackles on defense.

Game 5: Thomasville defeated Demopolis, 55-27; Hayes had six carries for 50 yards with one touchdown. He had 14 tackles on defense with three tackles for loss. He punted twice for 68 yards and returned a kick-off for 45 yards.

Game 6: Thomasville defeated Escambia County, 38-15; Hayes had eight carries for 57 yards with a touchdown, and one reception for 46 yards. He had nine tackles on defense, one tackle for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He punted twice for 80 yards.

Game 7: Thomasville defeated UMS-Wright, 28-24; Hayes had 11 carries for 145 yards, and he was two-of-four passing for 60 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He added 12 tackles on defense, three tackles for loss, two sacks and one forced fumble.

Game 8: Thomasville defeated W.S. Neal, 42-8; Hayes had six carries for 99 yards and one reception for three yards. He had eight tackles on defense. He punted twice for 97 yards.

Game 9: Thomasville lost the Jackson, 28-9; Hayes was nine-of-19 passing for 105 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He had 23 carries for 45 yards. He added nine tackles on defense, one tackle for loss and punted twice for 80 yards.

Game 10: Thomasville defeated Clarke County, 22-7; Hayes had 11 tackles, and one interception returned for 51 yards for a score.

Thomasville will host West Blocton Friday, November 4th at 7:00 p.m. for the first round of the AHSAA play-offs.
