Women's Basketball Hosts Eagles Next

The Alabama women's basketball team will host its final home game of November when it welcomes Georgia Southern to Foster Auditorium on Monday. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. CST.

"We had a good practice today and have made steps in the right direction," said Alabama Coach Wendell Hudson. "We are still trying to get the personnel right, but that will come as we get more game time. This is a big week for us. We have our game tomorrow then we head on the road for three straight road tests. This will be a great learning opportunity for the team."

Monday's game will be the eighth meeting between the Crimson Tide and Eagles. Alabama has won six straight in the series, including a 65-55 victory on the road last season.

The Tide will look to make it two wins in a row when it takes on the Eagles on Monday, as Alabama most recently posted a 78-52 victory over Northwestern State on Friday. Junior Meghan Perkins and sophomore Jasmine Robinson led the Tide offense with 22 points and 20 points, respectively. Alabama also forced 29 Lady Demon turnovers and doubled Northwestern State in points in the paint, 36-18.

Georgia Southern edged Mercer, 57-55, to pick up its first win of the season last Thursday. The Eagles were led in scoring by Meredyth Frye, who had 17 points. She also leads Georgia Southern in scoring on the season with an average of 11.0 points per game.

Monday's game can be heard on the radio on the Crimson Tide Sports Network. For a list of participating channels, visit RollTide.com. Fans can also listen live online or follow along with live scoring by vising RollTide.com.
