"It's a great feeling," said Bradley Bozeman. "I really can't explain it. I think the last time our team played for the state championship my dad was a junior in high school. The locker room after the game was ecstatic. I don't think it has really set in with everyone yet.
"We have had a good year. Everyone has played up to their potential. I don't think we played our best game Friday night. I don't think we have played to our peak yet. This is definitely the week to do it."
Handley (14-0) faces Madison Academy (12-2) Thursday at 11:00 a.m. for the state championship.
The 2013 Tide commitment was excited to watch Alabama defeat Auburn, 42-14.
"I liked watching the Iron Bowl a lot," said Bozeman. "It was great. The defense has been great all year. The offensive line doesn't allow any pressure. They have played great all year."
