McCarron Succeeds On First Try In Iron Bowl

Smooth operator A.J. McCarron picked apart the Auburn secondary completing 18 of 23 passes for a 70% completion average in the 42-14 win. The first time starter against the Tigers threw for three touchdowns and 184 yards.

McCarron equaled the Alabama record for touchdown passes against Auburn becoming the fourth Tide quarterback to achieve the feat. Steve Sloan (1964), Jeff Rutledge (1978) and Freddie Kitchens (1996) were the other Alabama signal callers to enjoy the same success against their arch rival.
