T.J. Yeldon visiting Alabama

T.J. Yeldon, National 100 running back from Daphne, Ala., will take an official visit to the University of Alabama this weekend. The top in-state ball carrier committed to Auburn in June.

"T.J. is taking an official visit to Alabama this weekend," said Daphne assistant coach Mike Vickery. "The visit has been planned for a while. He is fulfilling his promise to those guys.

"The reason he is going up there is because of coach [Jeremy] Pruitt. He has a great relationship with T.J. That's probably the only reason he is going up there. It was a difficult decision for him, and I think it's still hard on him.

"Alabama has done a great job keeping the door open. You never know what can happen with kids. It doesn't hurt to get them on campus for a weekend. They have done a really good job to this point to at least try to leave the door open. We'll see what happens."
