Eddie Williams talks official visit

Eddie Williams, National 100 safety from Panama City Beach, Fla., took an official visit to Alabama this weekend. The elite prospect talked with Andrew Bone about his time on campus and position he expects to play for the Crimson Tide. He also commented about other National 100 recruits who were in Tuscaloosa.

"The weekend was great," said Eddie Willams. "Every time I come up here it's great. It wasn't anything new. We had a lot of fun together. A lot of players were up there. We had a lot of fun. It was real good.

"The visit at coach Saban's house was the best part of the trip. Just the fact he had everyone over was great. We got to know everyone a little bit better. We all just hung out and had a good time.

"We ate a lot. We walked around the school. We visited a lot of places. We saw the academic buildings. We toured the whole campus to get a feel of it and everything."

Williams spent a lot of time with other players who were on official visits including T.J. Yeldon and Jameis Winston.

"I hung out with T.J., Jaboo [Jameis Winston] and Tyler [Hayes]. We tried to recruit those guys. We are trying to get the best class we can. I think Alabama has a great chance to get them. They came up on the visit. There isn't any other school like Alabama with the atmosphere, coaches. I think they made a real strong impression on them."

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound athlete talked with Alabama head coach Nick Saban about his future position in Tuscaloosa.

"I told coach Saban that I will play receiver or wherever they need me," Williams said. "Coach Saban said he felt confident about me. He wants to put me in the best position for the long run to help me in a future career. I am very open to playing receiver for them."
