McElwain Tries To Complete Mission

Since Jim McElwain has been the Alabama offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach, the Tide has compiled a school record 47 victories the past four seasons. Three of the top all-time school single season team scoring totals occurred during his tenure – 1973 (477), 2010 (464), 2009(449)and so far 2011 stands at 432 points. Success in the SEC attracted a Mountain West Conference school's attention.

Hired in December to be the Colorado State University Rams Head Football Coach, McElwain is determined to complete the mission of bringing the BCS National Championship Trophy back to Tuscaloosa before departing for his new assignment. Self-described as "the kid from Montana", he has fared well on his coaching tour in the South.
