Barrett Jones Honored At Walter Camp Dinner

Fresh from winning the BCS National Championship Game in the New Orleans Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Alabama offensive lineman Barrett Jones, was honored in New Haven, Connecticut Saturday evening at the Walter Camp Football Foundation's Forty-Fifth National Annual Awards Dinner held at Yale University Commons.

The 2011 Outland Trophy recipient gathered with fellow members of the 122nd edition of the Walter Camp Football Foundation All-America Team. Jones joins the forty-six University of Alabama student-athletes past and present to be a First Team selection recognized by the organization. Four Crimson Tide players were honored twice raising the number of First Team designees to fifty - linebacker, Cornelius Bennett (1986 & 1985), safety, Tommy Wilcox (1982 & 1981), linebacker, Thomas Boyd (1981 & 1980) and running back, Johnny Musso (1971 & 1970).

Two members of Alabama's 1992 National Championship Team attended the festivities - 1993 Walter Camp Football Foundation All-America First Team honorees, defensive back Antonio Langham and wide receiver/kicker returner David Palmer. Rex and Leslie Jones, proud parents of Barrett, were also in the audience of 1,000.
