At 6-8 and 265 pounds with 5.0 quickness, his potential is unlimited.
Cody Davis played tight end as a sophomore because of his good quickness, but he moved to offensive tackle last season, and that will be his home on the next level.
"I've been starting since I was in the 10th grade," said Davis. "I started at tight end, but I moved to offensive line last year."
Davis blocks for one of the top running backs in the south in Markus Manson, and he uses his quickness to help pass protect.
"I have a good first couple of steps," Davis related. "I like to take the mentality out on the field that no one can beat me."
Besides his various camps, Davis listed other summer goals. "I definitely want to be in the weight room all summer and work on my strength and speed," he said. "I'd like to get my 40 time in the low 4.9's."
