Early Enrollee: T.J. Yeldon
T.J. Yeldon, four-star running back from Daphne, Ala., will jumpstart his college career at Alabama by arriving in January.
Yeldon enters a situation at Alabama where he might see immediate playing time in Tuscaloosa. The 6-foot-1 215-pound back is physical, fast and very athletic.
Eddie Lacy should settle in as the No. 1 back in the Tide's offense. Big things are expected for Dee Hart. Alabama also has bruiser Jalston Fowler.
Yeldon should see the field early and provide a boost to the running game for the Crimson Tide who loses Doak Walker award winner Trent Richardson.
Yeldon finished his senior season with 232 rushes for 2,193 yards and 31 touchdowns; 19 catches for 244 yards and a toughdown. He completed five of eight passes for 85 yards and a touchdown.
The 6A All-State running back is one of the finalists for the 2011 Alabama Mr. Football which is announced January 18.
