Early Enrollee: Ryan Anderson
Ryan Anderson's stock soared during the summer and fall when he showcased his skills as one of the elite defensive recruits in the country. He landed in the final Scout 300, but could have easily been a National 100 recruit.
The Alabama coaching staff is very excited about the 6-foot-3, 250-pound pass rusher. Anderson fits nicely at the ‘Jack' linebacker position where he projects on the Tide's roster. He plays with a lot of aggression, emotion and a very physical player.
Anderson arrives in Tuscaloosa as a bigger version of Courtney Upshaw who came out of Eufaula. The coaching staff is looking for a replacement who won the Defensive MVP of the BCS National Championship.
There is plenty of young talent on the Alabama team, and Anderson has his shot to play early.
