Alabama hosting visitors

Thousands of Alabama fans are expected in Tuscaloosa on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium for the celebration of the Tide's 2011 BCS National Championship. At least fourl high school recruits will arrive as official and unofficial visitors. Andrew Bone has the latest....

The Alabama coaching staff will host several of their commitments in the class of 2012. This is the final weekend for players who are currently committed to the Tide to visit the Capstone before signing their letter of intent on signing day. All other commitments have taken their official visits.

Brandon Greene, four-star offensive tackle from Ellenwood-Cedar Grove, Ga., is also visiting. Greene took an official visit to Georgia in December. A lot of talk in Athens of a possible signing day flip. Greene has been adamant about his commitment to the Crimson Tide.

Alec Morris, three-star quarterback from Allen, Texas, and Casey Gladney, three-star wide receiver from Columbia, S.C., are also expected to visit this weekend. Gladney has been focused on his grades in order to sign with the Tide in February. The coaching staff will receive an academic update and see where he stands.

Korren Kirven, four-star defensive tackle from Lynchburg-Brookeville, Va., is scheduled as the only uncommitted prospect who will visit. Kirven visited Tennessee last weekend. His main recruiter from Alabama had been Sal Sunseri. The Tide and Volunteers have been at the top of his list for a while. Tennessee has the edge for now with coach Sunseri as the lead recruiter for Tennessee. Things may change after his weekend trip in Tuscaloosa.

A lot of speculation of other prospects planning to attend this weekend. For the very latest news on these players:
