Connor Mitch back from T-town

Connor Mitch, quarterback from Raleigh-Wakefield, N.C., was one of several top recruits at Alabama's Junior Day. Mitch talked about his return trip to Tuscaloosa.

"The trip was awesome," said Connor Mitch. "They showed us around for a bit and showed us where the players live. They took up to the basketball game. We had a position coaches meeting and a player panel.

"My best part of the visit was probably just sitting down with the new offensive coordinator [Doug Nussmeier]. I liked him a lot. He is easy to get along with. He showed us some of the stuff he does. He told me how I would fit in.

"I talked to coach Rumph. He recruits my area. We talked about life. Coach Nussmeier told me recruiting a quarterback is like recruiting a CEO. They don't want to offer a QB until the camp. I plan on going to their camp in the summer."

Mitch has visited Tuscaloosa several times. He has a very high interest in the national championship program.

"The school is beautiful," he said. "It's really nice there. I like the dorms. It's easy to get around the campus. The coaches are very nice. The facilities are unbelievable. They are crazy nice."

The talented signal caller has scholarship offers from East Carolina, North Carolina and North Carolina State. He plans to attend North Carolina's Junior Day next month.
