A-Day, Homecoming Dates Announced
Alabama will hold its annual A-Day Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 14, at Bryant-Denny Stadium. There will be no admission charge. A kickoff time has not been set. Further details on television coverage and events surrounding A-Day will be announced later.
The 2012 University of Alabama Homecoming football game has been set for Saturday, October 27, when the Crimson Tide will host Mississippi State University at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Further details about Homecoming weekend activities, including a kickoff time for the game, will be announced as they are finalized.
Although a homecoming football game is ordinarily against a non-conference opponent, Alabama prefers to have its homecoming in October, and the Mississippi State game is Alabama's only October home game. The Tide has an open date October 6 and has road games at Missouri October 13 and Tennessee October 20.
Alabama has not announced the starting date of spring football practice. It could be a few days before the start of spring break, which is March 10-18, or it could begin following spring break, which would allow four weeks for the 15 practice dates.
