Why Alabama: "I pretty much like everything about Alabama. I like the academics. They have everything I need. I like their weight training program, practices and basically everything they do. I am super excited about going there.

"People say the kickers there are struggling, but I know they can get better. I am going there to work hard. I am going there with an open mind. I am going to fight for a starting position.

"I was really happy to see Alabama win the national championship. I was happy for Jeremy Shelley and the kicking game. I was hoping the kicking game was going to change. They did a lot better in the national championship game than they did in the first game against LSU. I am really looking forward to getting there."

Coach Quotes: "The clear cut No. 1 Kicker in the nation," said national kicking instructor Chris Sailer. "Has the strongest leg in the country and gets more height on his field goals then anyone that we have evaluated at the high school level in some time.

"A great athlete and competitor that has the mental strength to handle the pressure of big-time football. Adam May be the most talented kicker that I have ever seen. He has big-time leg and hits an absolutely huge ball.

"His field goals come off his foot like a rocket. His kickoffs are tops in the nation. Adam hit one wind-aided kickoff 90-plus yards with 4.40-second hang time. No one can match his talent."

Andrew Bone says: "One of Alabama's biggest concerns in this year's recruiting class was to add an elite kicker for the Tide's future. Adam Griffith secured an offer from Nick Saban prior to his junior year of football. He gave an early commitment and considered the top kicker in the country.

"Jeremy Shelley and Cade Foster return to the team next season. Griffith's leg strength and accuracy should have the Tide coaching staff feeling comfortable sending him out for long range field goals. Shelley will continue as the short range field goal kicker for Alabama while Foster is expected to remain as the kicker on the kickoff team. All three will compete."
