Alabama Baseball Has Nine TV Games

The Alabama baseball team will make nine television appearances during the 2012 season as part of the Southeastern Conference television package. Bama will be televised four times by Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS), three times on Fox Sports Net South (FSN), and once each on ESPN2 and ESPNU.

Alabama's game at LSU on Sunday, April 15, will be televised at noon, CDT on ESPN2. The game was originally slated to begin at 1 p.m. Alabama will make its second nationally televised appearance on April 26, when the Tide takes on defending national champion South Carolina. The game against the Gamecocks, which is part of the ESPN Thursday Night SEC Baseball Game of the Week schedule, begins at 6:30 p.m. CDT, on ESPNU.

In addition to the ESPN network broadcasts, seven games will be televised regionally.

The four games on CSS include the Capital City Classic on March 6, against Auburn, at 7 p.m. CST. Game two of the series at Arkansas on March 17 will be televised by CSS and begin at 3 p.m. CDT, and game two of the series at Tennessee March 31 will air live on CSS with first pitch at noon CDT. Finally, the middle game of the home series against Auburn on April 7 will now begin at 3 p.m. CDT, and will be broadcast on CSS.

The first FSN broadcast will be the series opener against Auburn on Friday, April 6. First pitch has been moved to 7 p.m. CDT, to accommodate the television schedule. As part of Kentucky's UK IMG Sports Network television package, the series opener on Friday, May 11 and game two on Saturday, May 12, will be televised by FSSO when the Tide travels to Lexington, Ky.

Alabama opens the 2012 season Friday, Feb. 17, hosting Florida Atlantic at 7 p.m. CST, the first of a three-game weekend series.
