Brendan Langley high on Crimson Tide

Brendan Langley, cornerback from Marietta-Kell, Ga., reeled in several scholarship offers this past week. Andrew Bone talked with the speedy athlete about the first trip to Tuscaloosa.

"The trip was phenomenal," said Brendan Langley. ""The facilities were great. The coaches were beyond what I expected. The school was very nice. Everything went extremely well.

"Alabama just offered me on Thursday. This was my first trip to Alabama, and it definitely won't be my last. The campus was the perfect size. Everything was within walking distance. I can't say enough about the facilities. They were amazing; from the weight room to the training room. The dorms were extremely nice. They were larger than other schools I have seen."

Langley is high on the Tide staff.

"Coach Smart and coach Saban were very nice with their approach," he said. "They explained to me they like my size and feel like my speed is my greatest attribute. They would use it very wisely. I appreciated that.

"They spent a lot of time talking about school. I appreciated that even more. Most schools want to talk about how much you will play, but at Alabama they are more focused on your future and the bigger picture."

Alabama is one of three early favorites for Langley. He is also high on Florida and Georgia. He talked about his interest in the Tide after the visit.

"I like the coaches No. 1," Langley said. "I don't like them just as coaches being coaches, but as men. They want more than just what is going on right now. They want what is best for your future.

"I like the school overall. The campus was very beautiful. It was very good to the eye. I like the way the stadium is built. It was huge. I have never seen anything like it before."

Langley plans on making a decision in late July or August before his senior season.

"I have six offers right now," he said. "All the offers have been flattering. I would have never expected six SEC offers. I praise the Lord. I appreciate my players and coaches for helping me. It's a teamwork effort."
