Erik Holliday attends Junior Day

Erik Holliday, cornerback from Birmingham-Jackson-Olin, Ala., was one several in-state visitors at Alabama this past Saturday. Holliday talked with Andrew Bone about his visit to the Capstone.

"The visit was good," said Erik Holliday. "They showed me around the facilities, academic buildings, weight room and training room. I met my new recruiting coach, Coach Thompson.

"Coach Thompson gave me his cell phone number. He told me to call him once a week. He said when the spring comes they are going to come see me at practice.

"I spoke with coach Pruitt. He talked to me and a few other DBs. We watched some of their film from this past season. We saw how they like their DBs to play."

Holliday enjoyed his return trip to Tuscaloosa and hopes to make an impression on the staff in the spring.

"Every time I go down to Alabama I know it's the best football college in the country," he said. "They are always trying to find ways to get back to the top. It was a great visit."

Holliday has plans to visit Auburn next weekend. He is receiving a lot of interest from Mississippi State and believes the Bulldogs may offer in the near future.
