Alabama: In-state offers 2014

The University of Alabama has eight commitments in the class of 2013 with a recent verbal pledge added on Tuesday from the Peach State. The Tide coaching staff is also blanketing the country looking at the class of 2014 including players in their home-state. Andrew Bone takes a look at several in-state players who have scholarship offers as rising juniors.

There has been recruiting chatter about several players in the state with some talk since their middle school years. E.J. Moss, quarterback from Asheville, and Bo Scarborough, running back from Tuscaloosa-Northridge, jumped on the recruiting scene very early.

Tre Williams, linebacker from Mobile-St. Paul's, was in discussions during the spring after his freshman year. He lived up to the hype as a sophomore with a sensational year playing safety.

Marlon Humphrey, cornerback from Hoover, and Racean Thomas, running back from Oxford, burst on the scene during their sophomore year. Humphrey made a great first impression with an outstanding performance during the first game of the year against South Panola. Thomas, also known as 'Rock', was the workhorse for the Yellow Jackets all year.

Alabama has offered scholarships to these five in-state prospects which typically means their scholarship offer list will increase dramatically. The most recent offer went to Marlon Humphrey when he attended the Tide's Junior Day this past weekend.

Tre Williams has scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and Kentucky. Bo Scarborough has offers from Alabama, Mississippi State, UCLA and Troy.

Watch highlights of these five prospects:

Tre Williams (6-2, 220)

Racean "Rock" Thomas (5-11, 197)

Bo Scarborough (6-2, 215)

Marlon Humphrey (No. 29) (6-0, 170)

E.J. Moss (6-4, 210)
