Two Named Easton All-Americans

While the season has wrapped up for the No. 7 ranked University of Alabama softball team, the awards continue to roll in for the Tide.

Junior Jackie McClain and senior Lacy Prejean were named Easton All-Americans and Alabama was named as a 2003 Easton School of the Year.

McClain, who was named to the second team, is making her third appearance on an Easton All-American team, while Prejean is making her first appearance.

"Jackie and Lacy are very deserving of this great honor from Easton," said Alabama Head Coach Patrick Murphy. "They both had great years and we are proud of their accomplishments."

The Crimson Tide is making its second appearance as an Easton School of the Year.

McClain and Prejean push the number of Easton All-Americans for the program to 15 while eight different players have earned the honor. Alabama had its most Easton All-Americans following the 2001 season when four Bama players were named to the first team.
