Raheem Falkins talks SEC visit

Raheem Falkins, wide receiver from New Orleans-Carver, La., gave an early commitment to the University of Alabama. He took another recent visit to an SEC school where he has a teammate committed. Andrew Bone talked with Falks about the unofficial visits and other possibilities.

"Since I committed to Alabama I was offered by Ole Miss," said Raheem Falkins. "I have pretty much shut the door on everyone though. I am happy with my decision."

Falkins did take a recent unofficial visit to Oxford.

"I took a visit over to Ole Miss," he said. "The visit over there was good. It was nice. Our running back, Eugene Brazly, committed to them. It was good to be over there with him when he committed.

"Ole Miss was in my top five when I first started my recruitment. I wanted to see what they had to offer. I don't plan on visiting anywhere else. I will probably not go back to Ole Miss again."

Falkins has reasons for his discontinued visits to other schools.

"I am solid with my commitment," he said of Alabama. "I love my decision. I can focus on my senior year. I have to help my team get some good wins and go to the playoffs.

"I have been talking to coach Rumph and coach Burns. They are telling me to keep working hard. They love I am committed to them. They are glad I committed early. I love it too."
