Florida wideout okay after accident

D.J. Hall was one of the most impressive wide receiver prospects at the Nike Camp in Auburn, so it was no surprise to find out that he already had a slew of offers.

At 6-3 and 183 pounds with a sub 4.4 forty, Hall has all of the tools to be a great one on the next level.

D.J. Hall parlayed those tools into a tremendous season for a 7-3 Choctawhatchee team. The Fort Walton, Florida native had 44 catches for 974 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior.

Hall has been to Auburn for a summer camp as well as the Nike camp, but other camps have been put on hold temporarily.

"I was supposed to go to the Florida and Florida State camps this summer already, but I got in a car accident and missed them," said Hall. "An eighteen wheeler ran a light and just smashed into us."

Hall is lucky to be alive after a scare like that, and it put some camps on hold, but he was healthy enough to begin his camp schedule last weekend.

"I got the stitches out of my side this past Saturday," Hall related. "I went up to the Auburn camp that day and ran a 4.33 forty there. I'm supposed to go to the Florida Camp in July and work out, but I'm not sure if I'll catch the ball yet. My hands are still pretty sore from the accident."

At this point Hall is nowhere near ready to make a decision on where he'll attend college, but he's got plenty of options. "I've gotten a bunch of scholarship offers so far," he said. "Some of the offers I've gotten are Florida, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, and Maryland.

"My top teams right now though are Florida, LSU, Florida State, Alabama, and Tennessee."

NOTE: Hall had been scheduled to attend tomorrow's mini-camp at Alabama, but at this point it's unlikely he'll make the trip.
