Quarterback to visit Alabama

Riley Ferguson, quarterback from Matthews-Butler, N.C., has his weekend booked for Tuscaloosa. He talked with Andrew Bone about the upcoming trip to the Capstone.

"I am heading to Alabama on Friday," said Riley Ferguson. "I am staying two whole days down there. I am going to the spring game on Saturday.

"I am really looking forward to it a lot. I don't know yet if we are driving or flying. I can't wait to see the campus and see how big the stadium is. I can't wait to spend time with the coaches."

Ferguson has a verbal offer from the Tide, and he is staying in regular contact with his recruiting coach.

"I have been talking to coach Rumph," he said. "We talk about once a week. Our relationship is growing. He tells me to keep my grades up and keep working hard."

The North Carolina product talked more about his interest in the Tide.

"I know their program is unbelievable," Ferguson said. "I have heard so much about it. They are the national champions. I can't wait to see all the stuff they have. I know they have a great program."
