"I committed to Alabama today," Deon Johnson said. "It felt great to go ahead and commit. I was ready to make my decision.
"I told coach Pruitt, and I spoke to coach Saban. I told them I was ready to commit. They were very excited.
"Alabama just felt like home. That's where I want to go. I like how they get the ball to their slot receivers.
Johnson was impressed with the Tide's annual A-Day game.
"The A-Day game was awesome," he said. "The atmosphere was great. I had a lot of fun out there."
