Georgia OL visits Tuscaloosa

Brandon Kublanow, Scout300 offensive guard from Marietta-Walton, Ga., has close to 20 scholarship offers. He visited Alabama for the first time for the annual A-Day game.

"The visit was a lot of fun," said Brandon Kublanow. "The campus is really nice. The facilities are nice. It's all around a really nice place.

"I talked to the O-line coach [Jeff Stoutland] for a while. I talked to coach [Kirby] Smart for a little while too. They told me where I will fit in and what they need for the class. They have not offered yet. They are going to come see me in the spring."

The Peach State product was impressed with the 78,000-plus fans in attendance for the Tide's spring game. He was also impressed with several of the players.

"There were so may fans there," Kublanow said. "I thought it was pretty insane. They have a solid group. Their offensive line is huge especially the right tackle [D.J. Fluker]. He is a freak. Their new running back {T.J. Yeldon] is going to be the man."

Kublanow talked more about his interest in Alabama.

"I like the coaching staff," he said. "I like how it's very strict there. That's how they win games. They always win."

Kublanow has reeled in 18 offers from across the country including Boston College, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. AndrewJBone
