Tyren Jones talks A-Day

Tyren Jones, National 100 running back from Marietta-Walton, Ga., took in Alabama's A-Day this past weekend. Jones is feeling more at home in Tuscaloosa and was impressed with his visit.

"I went to Alabama's A-Day," said Tyren Jones. "The visit was pretty good. I met with coach Saban again. He is looking forward to having me come down there. I met a lot of coaches and players.

"I met Trent Richardson. I met a couple of the backs like T.J. Yeldon. I met No. 3 [Vinnie Sunseri] who is a safety. Trent told me I would love it there and that Nick Saban will help me mature as a man. He told me to keep working hard."

Jones was impressed with several of the performances at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

"I loved the game," he said. "I think they did pretty good. It makes me want get down there. I thought some of the backs did good. I was looking at what they did good and what they did wrong. I am trying to see what I can do better.

"The atmosphere was great out there. There were a lot of fans out there. It was really good."

Schools continue to recruit the Alabama commitment, but he is solid with his decision.

"I feel really good about my commitment," Jones said. "I feel like I am in a really good position down there. They can help put me in a good position to get to the next level.

"Miami is still recruiting me pretty good. They know I am committed to Alabama though, but said they are still there for me. I still get mail from all the other schools."
