Raheem Falkins not flirting

Raheem Falkins, three-star wide receiver from New Orleans-Carver, La., committed to the University of Alabama in late January. He talked about the start of spring practice and recent visit to Tuscaloosa.

"We started practice on Monday," said Raheem Falkins. "It's been exciting. I am just trying to become a better football player. I am running good routes. I am helping the incoming freshmen.

"We had a couple of coaches out there. I know Memphis was out there for sure. Alabama hasn't visited yet. I am pretty sure they are coming soon."

Falkins attended the Tide's annual A-Day game in April.

"The visit for the spring game felt like home," he said. "It was nice. The crowd was wild. The most impressive thing was just walking down the street and seeing thousands of fans. It was unbelievable.

"The coaches were telling me to keep working hard. They can't wait for me to sign with them. I was impressed with all the players up there. They told me they are going to show me things I've never done before when I get there."

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound prospect will return to Tuscaloosa for summer camp. He does not have any interest in flirting with other schools.

"There are still a few schools recruiting me like Ole Miss," Falkins said. "I was supposed to go up to Ole Miss for a visit, but I never took the trip. I don't plan on taking any visits."
