Alabama offers quarterback

The University of Alabama has high interest in two quarterbacks in the class of 2013. Four-star Cooper Bateman jumped on board for the Tide this month, and another signal caller has received an offer.

Parker McLeod, three-star quarterback from Walton High School in Marietta, Ga., received a scholarship offer from the 2011 BCS National Champions. He is also the teammate of Tide commitment Tyren Jones.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect knows all about pressure and helped guide his team, as a first year starter, to the state championship game last season.

McLeod's junior campaign saw production of 1,600 yards passing with 18 touchdowns.

The Peach State prospect also holds scholarship offers from Boston College, Louisville, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Syracuse, and UCF.

"My arm strength, accuracy, and pocket presence are probably my strongest points as a passer," McLeod reported earlier in the spring to DeaconSports. "I do a pretty good job of running out of the pocket when I have to. We lost a lot on the offensive line and on defense, but our goal is to get back and win a state championship."
