Eager for Tide offer

Parker McLeod, three-star quarterback from Walton High School in Marietta, Ga., was one of the top performers at Alabama's camp this week. He is anxious to receive good news from the Tide coaching staff.

"The camp went very well," said Parker McLeod. "I thought I threw very well in the morning and afternoon session. I sat down with coach Saban after the camp. He said he would contact me very soon."

The best part of a camp or an official visit varies from player-to-player, but talking one-on-one with the head coach always leaves an impression.

"I'd say the best part of my visit was just speaking with coach Saban in his office," McLeod said. "That was cool. He was explaining the situation they are in right now to me. He talked about the program."

McLeod was recently offered by the Alabama coaching staff, but the evaluation process continues.

"They have some other quarterbacks on campus who are working out this week," he said. "They are wanting to get through the week to decide which quarterback did the best. Coach Saban said they do plan on taking two quarterbacks. I am going to wait to see what they say this week."

The Peach State native, and teammate of Tide commitment Tyren Jones, talked about working out with Alabama's offensive coordinator.

"Coach Nussmeier said I was outstanding," McLeod said. "He really liked what I was doing. He said I was everything he thought I would be. He really liked me. I really liked working out with him. It was good to get to work with a guy who could be your future coach. He is a great guy."

McLeod also shared a couple of things which stand out to him about the Tide program.

"Just everything about Alabama stands out to me," he said. "I have been over there a few times. I have always liked the campus. I like everything about Tuscaloosa. Getting to know coach Nuss and coach Saban better this week was great."
