Wilson Bell returns from UA camp

Wilson Bell, offensive tackle from Blount High School in Prichard, Ala., drew heavy praise from the coaching staff this week for his performance at the Alabama camp. Bell talked about his few days spent in Tuscaloosa.

"The camp turned out real nice," said Wilson Bell. "I made the All-Saban team. I did pretty good out there. From what I understand I am on their recruiting list now. They are really going start recruiting me.

"I had a good bond with the coaching staff. I talked to the offensive line coach [Jeff Stoutland]. We exchanged numbers. We are going to stay in contact with each other.

"He was saying he would love to have me up there. He said there are a few things they are going to have to wait on. He said I am an excellent player, and he would love to work with me."

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound prospect talked more of his camp experience.

"I liked the overall camp," he said. "I didn't think I was going to learn as much as I did. The coaches were willing to help you. The school is an excellent school. The camp and organization were great. They have it all together up there.

"I like how they work. The offensive line coach really wants me to be great. I love their experience. I like how they had everything organized. They made you feel like you were part of the team."

Bell has reeled in scholarship offers from Memphis, Troy, South Alabama, UAB and Western Kentucky. He will camp at UAB on Thursday and Auburn on Sunday.
