Devlin Hodges talks camp

Devlin Hodges, quarterback from Mortimer Jordan High School in Morris, Ala., was one of the top underclassmen at Alabama's summer camp this week. Hodges discussed his performance in Tuscaloosa.

"I went to Alabama's camp on Monday," said Devlin Hodges. "The camp went good. I talked to coach Nussmeier after the camp. He told me I have good talent and mechanics. He told me to work on my drops and footwork.

"I like coach Nuss. He would tell you when you messed up, so next time you know what to do. He is a cool guy. I like him."

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect projects as one of the top quarterbacks in Alabama for 2014. He has early interest in the in-state SEC school.

"I have been to Tuscaloosa before," Hodges said. "They have nice facilities. They have great coaches and good tradition down there."

Hodges is receiving interest from Alabama, Auburn, Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Troy and UAB. He will attend camps at Mississippi State and Auburn this weekend.
