Alabama All-American pitcher Jackie Traina has been selected to the USA Softball Women's National Team.
She was one of just five players added to the final roster.
The original roster was set back in January, but this week, 20 players were invited to attend a national team camp in Ashland, Ohio to compete for the final spots, and Traina's performance, talent and work ethic earned her a place.
Traina, a sophomore, will join Crimson Tide alum Ashley Holcombe-Bell on the team.
Traina led Alabama to the program's and SEC's first-ever Women's College World Series championship last week over Oklahoma.
Team USA will compete in six different events in the US and Canada, including the World Cup, which will be held in Oklahoma City (where Traina and Alabama won the WCWS) June 27-July 2.
