12 Bama players make pre-season All-SEC team

The Crimson Tide leads the league with 12 players on the pre-season All-Conference team, which was announced Thursday at SEC Media Days.

The pre-season All-SEC teams were announced Thursday at media days, and Alabama leads the conference with 12 players.

Offensive linemen D.J. Fluker, Chance Warmack and Barrett Jones made first-team offense and linebacker Nico Johnson and defensive back Robert Lester made first-team defense.

Running back Eddie Lacy and defensemen Jesse Williams, Damion Square and Dee Milliner made second-team, while quarterback A.J. McCarron and tight end Michael Williams were voted to the third team.

No Crimston Tide specialists made the All-SEC team.

The media also voted LSU (129 votes) to win the conference championship, followed by Alabama (65) and Georgia (15).

The media predicted LSU to win the SEC West, followed by Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Texas A&M, Mississippi State and Ole Miss. They predicted Georgia to win the East, followed by South Carolina, Florida, Missouri, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Kentucky.
