Michigan will don special unis vs. Alabama

The Wolverines have a special uniform design to wear for the Cowboys Classic against the Crimson Tide on Sept. 1.

Michigan will wear special uniforms for its showdown with Alabama on Sept. 1.

It remains to be seen if this an attempted good luck charm against the Crimson Tide.

As described on the Michigan website, the Wolverines will don a white road jersey with maize across the shoulders and down to the sleeve. Blue piping will separate the maize from the white on the jersey. A blue block ‘M' sits on the left and right sleeves of the jersey and the player numbers will be blue. UM will wear its traditional maize pants with the blue block ‘M' on the left hip. Their gloves will feature lyrics to the school's fight song, "The Victors."

"The players and staff like the commemorative jersey that Adidas presented for the Alabama game," Michigan head coach Brady Hoke said. "The players really enjoyed the legacy and bowl uniforms that were worn last season."

With Michigan in white, this can only mean Alabama will be in crimson.
