Six football players to graduate this weekend

Alabama's summer commencement ceremonies are this weekend and 24 student-athletes, including six football players, will take part.

Two dozen Alabama athletes will graduate this weekend, including six football players.

Long snapper Carson Tinker will participate in the summer commencement ceremony and will be joined by former NFL players Tim Castille and Kenny Smith, along with David Blalock, Samuel Kearns and Nick Tinker.

From men's golf: All-Americans Hunter Hamrick and Hunter Slatton, along with Hunter Bronson

Gymnastics: All-American Kassi Price and Jocelyn Fowler

Men's tennis: All-SEC player Ricky Doverspike and Creighton Blanchard

Rowing: Bianca Arrington, Mariah Styer and Audrey White

Baseball: Jon Kelton, Nathan Kennedy and Josh Rosencrans

Swimming and diving: Drew Finelli and Gilles Gutnecht

Track and field/cross-country: Oliver Blake, Gary Bradbury and Nicholas Hayes

The 24 summer graduates will join the 117 Crimson Tide student-athletes who graduated following the fall and spring semesters, pushing the athletics department graduation tally to 141 for the 2011-12 academic year.
