Camp Taps Milliner For Defensive Play
Demarcus Milliner, from Millbrook, recorded five tackles with one interception while breaking up four passes in Alabama's win. He returned the interception 35 yards to the Michigan 17-yard line, setting up the Tide's third score of the first quarter for a 21-0 lead. Milliner helped limit the Wolverines to just 268 yards of total offense.
Presented by UCAN, this is the ninth year that the Walter Camp Football Foundation has honored one offensive and one defensive player as its national Bowl Championship Subdivision player of the week during the regular season. Recipients are selected by a panel of national media members.
West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith was honored as the offensive player of the week.
